Methylcobalamin

Methylcobalamin

Mecobalamin is a methylated vitamin B12, belonging to the vitamin B12 family, which is different from the other three kinds of vitamin B12 in chemical structure. It is mainly used for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy.

Mecobalamin is an endogenous coenzyme B12, which is essentially a member of vitamin B12 family. It mainly participates in the one carbon unit cycle and plays a very important role in the trans methylation reaction of homocysteine to methionine. It can not only participate in the synthesis of thymidine in brain cells and spinal cord neurons, promote the utilization of folic acid and the metabolism of nucleic acid, but also improve the excitability of nerve fibers and restore the level of neurotransmitters.

Compared with other three brothers, Mecobalamin has good transmissibility to nerve tissue, can promote nucleic acid protein fat metabolism, repair damaged nerve tissue, and has obvious curative effect on peripheral neuropathy such as diabetic neuropathy, multiple neuritis, especially on numbness, pain and paralysis. In the treatment of peripheral neuropathy, Mecobalamin is superior to cobalamin adenosine and cyanocobalamin in safety and efficacy.
